I'm known to put things off and I'm what some would call a slacker. But so what, I'm a comedian with an alter ego DJ career! I actaully am managed as two different people. I like to have fun and I am a hard working but bullsh!tting is what we do. I am known to do to much. I work with a dj click where I run a record pool, I am working on a magazine, I do indy movies (Write & Act) I have the comedy career, I have my DJ career, I want to do a clothing line, I have the comic books, I want to pitch TV shows and cartoons to major networks, I am currently writing more then one book and I manage models and musicians. (Really my manager does and I just get a percentage off of his work lol)
So just know I may come off not serious when I disappear no I am just busy thats why when I am working on something I like to move fast. I dont like for shit to take forever. We get it together, you do your part I do mine and then we make it happen.
I've been blessed enough to make a good living off of comedy and not have to have any side jobs. I look down on the fast food industry... ha ha
Now I've been pressured by my manager to finish something... I have like 8 unfinished movie scripts, 3 sitcoms concepts, a half written play and business ideas that I pitch to him... which gets him so excited being that he'd make money off of anything I finish because he'd be the man to get it "Picked Up". Sad thing is I never finished anything...
I am really sick of not having something big to brag about. So after talking to him to make sure he can still set everything up I decided to create a Cartoon Concept to get my first Developement Deal.
Now some think that I'm asking for them to make me a full cartoon so we can get some money....
thats partly true. We don't NEED a completed cartoon although that would help. What we need is enough material to get across a certain idea.
THE WAY IT WORKS: PITCHING A CARTOON
First we put together our concept, do a synopsis of the story, show sample scripts, Episode Ideas, Storyboards, Character stats and the foundation of a well thought out cartoon.
Second we go in for what is called a pitch and start trying to sell the networks on the idea. You can bring a full cartoon, Finished Script, layout or whatever... it doesn't matter if you can't pitch it and have the basics of what they look for.
Third if the like our Concept they give us money (what we negotiate for a developement deal) and then we go and get 1 episode made. We don't have to spend all the money and actually this is where people try and cut corners by making a cheap cartoon so they can keep the extra cash (South Park, Aqua Teen Hunger Force).
Fourth We bring in what is called the pilot and if they like they'd give us way more money to deliver 9-13 episodes (really depending on our season count... some could be up to 25 per season)
Fifth We go make the cartoons and give them to the network while living off of the money they paid us. Now IF (I say if because 75% of all shows picked up never make it to be aired) they air it they look at the ratings and make THEIR money off of advertisers.
Now if it's a huge success we demand more money... if they agree the most likely will offer us an extended deal at the higher rate but for so many years. (A lump sum so we won't keep raising our asking fee) and BAM! We are the new rich cartoonist!

ABOUT ME:
I'm urban in a way, but very diverse or what my manager would call very marketable. I can get along with anyone. I've lived in the hood and talk the dialect but my favorite movie is butterfly effect fight club donnie darko and other shit that would get my hood card revoked. I was born in NY raised in PA and lived in GA for 10 years. Thats makes me pretty diversed I think. Not to mention I've had a crazy life from being in a cult, producing and hosting my own tv show, managing a night club, doing comedy tours to becoming a Bootleg Music / Movie kingpin.
Now I'm finally slowing down and trying to do what I haven't done. I don't care about money but still know you need it to do more stuff. So i am willing to pay something to build a relationship. Get some covers designed. I just want someone to committ to joining me in pitching to these networks. I am not familiar with how to do it I just have connections who can give use well endorsed opportunities so I'd like to get a cartoon on tv. I Dont know what to do to get my artist friend. I really run across a lot of oportunities where if I had a friend who could draw his or her ass off it would be very profitable.
I've posted want ads in the jobs section but they don't seem to be what I'm looking for. I'm thinking the ones I want are so good they don't even look for work... it looks for them.
So here I am looking and waiting to stumble across that person I was destined to meet. We start off with some conversation I pay for some small work to show I'm serious and then we get to the big stuff.
But I just hope I don't say the wrong thing to offend anyone and seem like an asshole.. lol I'm a comedian, you should excuse my ignorance.

I'm not an artist... I'm a comedian. Maybe not a funny one but still I'm a comedian.
